How LETS works
- A group of local people club together
and compile a directory of their skills, services and goods, along with requests for anything they want to buy, sell, try out, hire or loan.
- The Directory
Members use the directory to contact one another; anything can be traded through a system of locally recorded accounts.
- LETS credits pay for services or goods
members write LETS credit notes (cheques). Those cheques are then sent to the LETS accounts manager, who updates the records of both traders.
- Each member receives
a personal account statement, directory updates and a newsletter at regular intervals.
